Trade Essentials Ltd was started by me, Mike Muir, a tradesman Plumber for the sole purpose of providing excellent quality cutting blades, drills bits and accessories to New Zealand tradesmen like myself. What I always wanted, was easy access to great quality product, and to feel I was getting value for money, so I guessed that other tradespeople out there would feel the same way.

The product we supply is sourced from factories that make blades and drills for some of the biggest names in the game, so just because the prices are good, does not mean the quality is less.

Trade Essentials Ltd only stocks the most commonly used items and does not seek to be a full range supplier, thereby offering quality tooling at the best possible price, through steady product turn over and not having a large warehouse filled with many slow moving inventory lines resulting in big overheads. We only supply items that we consider are not currently good value in the stores. If widget #1 is already economical to buy in a store or merchant, you won’t find it on this site, our aim is providing extra value that is not currently readily available.

We only import blades and accessories in bulk without the fancy packaging, to keep costs down and who needs to throw away more plastic anyway?

Lastly, I have aimed the pricing at the small to medium businesses who have an eye on the bottom line. To help your profitability we have a good single item price and then a great bulk item price, usually only 2 or 3 identical items to get a future 20-30% discount.

This way, you will always have a spare blade on hand and not have to pay full retail for an item, and you can have the satisfaction of knowing that, every time you install a new blade that you have kept some more of your hard earnt money!
